Objects and Atmospheres workshop, 27-28th May 2017

A Weekend Site-Specific Workshop at Hornsey Town Hall
Saturday 27th May/Sunday 28th May 10am – 5pm

A two-day workshop that includes creating atmospheres using objects and ways of developing narratives inspired by site. Participants will have the opportunity to explore devising non – verbal work, exploring text as a visual language, the body in relation to site and the importance of the dynamics of architectural space.

Geraldine Pilgrim Director/Designer and Installation artist works across theatre and the visual arts and is known for her evocative installations and site-specific performances. Specializing in creating installations and performances in unusual buildings and landscapes, she responds to the architecture of the site for inspiration and narrative.

Geraldine trained as a fine artist and theatre designer. Her most recent work includes The Missing Passenger an exhibition installation trail at the National Rail Museum York and Flight a site-specific performance co-commissioned by 14-18 NOW and Lake District National Park(Lakes Alive) at Brockhole on Windermere.

This workshop is open to students, recent graduates and emerging and established practitioners. There will be a maximum of 12 participants
