TRAINING RESIDENCY
Inteatro Festival
​Villa Nappi, Polverigi, Ancona, Italy
24 October – 4 November 2018 

​Geraldine Pilgrim will lead a site-specific training residency with 15 young Italian artists for Marche Teatro, at Inteatro (festival), at Villa Nappi, Polverigi, Ancona, Italy as part of the SIPARIO BIS BIS training programme in Theatre, Cinema and TV for professional Italian Artists. The other course leaders of the programme are Marco Baliani, Lucia Mascina and Massimo De Lorenzo.
Geraldine is an experienced workshop leader and educator. She is an Associate Lecturer at Wimbledon College of Arts and Central St Martins and a Visiting Lecturer at LAMDA, Mountview and Goldsmiths College. She has taught and led workshops in site-specific performance at higher and further education institutions in the U.K and mainland Europe and held workshops and residencies for organisations including Complicite Creative Learning, National Theatre Education dept., New Moves, Director’s Guild, Arvon Foundation, Forest Fringe, B.A.C and the Actors Centre.

Her International Workshops include: I.S.A Inteatro Polverigi Italy,  TRE60Arti - Lugano Switzerland, Project Brand New -Ulster Bank Dublin Festival, Spectaccolo Festival  - Pergine Italy, Arte-a-org Festival Madrid.
OBJECTS AND ATMOSPHERES WORKSHOP
A site- specific workshop that can be tailored for the number of participants and for one day, a weekend or a week that:
  • Explores creating atmospheres using objects
  • Looks at ways of developing narratives inspired by site
  • Examines the use of space in site–specific performance

Participants have the opportunity to explore:
  • Devising non-verbal work
  • Examining text as a visual language,
  • The body in relation to site
  • The importance of the dynamics of architectural space.

This workshop is suitable for students, post -graduates, emerging and established practitioners.

MENTORING
Geraldine also mentors individual artists and companies and creates placements and work experience opportunities for students and recent graduates.
