TEA (2012)
For three days in June, the communal lounge at Dora House for over-55s was transformed into a glorious temporary tea room and opened its doors to the public.
Tea is a dreamlike event inspired by memories of afternoon teas throughout the years. Over two months this Summer, the tenants of Dora House in West London worked with a group of young chefs, sharing memories and trying out recipes for the cakes, pastries, scones and sandwiches they grew up with to create the perfect afternoon tea.
Tea was conceived in a collaboration between Geraldine Pilgrim and Complicite Creative Learning in association with Central and Cecil. It was recently awarded the National Housing Federation’s Community Impact Award 2012.
